Cupulocorona rugosa

Taxonomy

Cupulocorona rugosa was named by Donovan and Paul (1985). Its type specimen is SM A31004 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Prendergast Place and Lane, Haverfordwest, which is in a Rawtheyan carbonate mudstone in the Slade and Redhill Mudstone Formation of the United Kingdom.

Synonyms

Cupulocorona digitalis was named by Donovan and Paul (1985). Its type specimen is SM A40229 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Aber Marchnant, SW Berwyn Hills, Powys, which is in a Rawtheyan offshore siltstone/mudstone in the Dolhir Formation of the United Kingdom.

It was synonymized subjectively with Cupulocorona rugosa by McDermott and Paul (2015).
