Soumyasaurus was named by Sarigul et al. (2018). It is not extant. Its type is Soumyasaurus aenigmaticus.
It was assigned to Silesauridae by Sarigul et al. (2018), Martz and Small (2019); and to Ornithischia by Müller and Garcia (2020).
