Gettyia gloriae
Taxonomy
Avisaurus gloriae was named by Varricchio and Chiappe (1995). Its type specimen is MOR 553E/6.19.91.64, a limb element (right tarsometatarsus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Jack's Birthday Site, MOR TM-068 (bone layer), which is in a Campanian lacustrine mudstone in the Two Medicine Formation of Montana.
It was recombined as Gettyia gloriae by Atterholt et al. (2018).
