Palaehoplophoroides rothi
Taxonomy
Palaehoplophoroides rothi was named by Scillato-Yané and Carlini (1998). Its type specimen is MLP 92-XI-15-1, an osteoderm (tubo caudal parcial, placas de la coraza dorsal y restos fragmentarios del cráneo), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Arroyo Pedregoso, which is in a Mayoan terrestrial horizon in the Río Mayo Formation of Argentina.
