Planops grandis
Taxonomy
Planops grandis was named by Scillato-Yané and Carlini (1998). Its type specimen is MLP 91-IX-2-123, a partial skull (cráneo fragmentario, con caniniforme y 4o molariforme derechos y 2o a 4o molariformes izquierdos), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Estancia Collón Cura, which is in a Langhian terrestrial horizon in the Cerro Boleadoras Formation of Argentina.
