Sibyllotherium guenguelianum
Taxonomy
Sibyllotherium guenguelianum was named by Scillato-Yané and Carlini (1998). Its type specimen is MLP 90-XII-31-5, a partial skull (cráneo parcial con cinco molariformes preservados y los alvéolos de los cinco restantes; hemimandíbula derecha parcial con los alvéolos de cuatro molariformes, ), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cerro Guenguel, which is in a Mayoan terrestrial horizon in the Río Mayo Formation of Argentina. It is the type species of Sibyllotherium.
