Taxonomy
Dolichosoma scutiferum was named by Fritsch (1901). It is not extant. Its type specimen is CGH Orig. 235, a skeleton. Its type locality is Nyrany, which is in a Westphalian D lacustrine coal in the Kladno Formation of Czechia.
