Taxonomy
Pseudagnostus papilio was named by Shergold (1971). Its type specimen is CPC 8442, a cephalon/head, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Gola Beds K102, which is in an Iverian marine grainstone in the Gola Beds Formation of Australia.
