Maeandricampus granuliferus
Taxonomy
Portunites granulifer was named by Glaessner (1960). Its type specimen is NZGS DC 232, an exoskeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Milburn Quarry, which is in a Chattian carbonate limestone in the Milburn Limestone Formation of New Zealand.
It was recombined as Rhachiosoma granuliferum by Glaessner (1980), Feldmann and Maxwell (1990), Feldmann and Keys (1992); it was recombined as Maeandricampus granuliferus by Schweitzer and Feldmann (2002); it was recombined as Maeandricampus granuliferum by Schweitzer et al. (2010), Feldmann et al. (2018).
It was recombined as Rhachiosoma granuliferum by Glaessner (1980), Feldmann and Maxwell (1990), Feldmann and Keys (1992); it was recombined as Maeandricampus granuliferus by Schweitzer and Feldmann (2002); it was recombined as Maeandricampus granuliferum by Schweitzer et al.
