Taxonomy
Eoincamys valverdei was named by Boivin et al. (2018). Its type specimen is MUSM 2947, a tooth (Right M1), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Shapaja (TAR-21), which is in a Rupelian/Chattian floodplain sandstone in the Pozo Formation of Peru.
