Taxonomy
Ceratites barrandei was named by von Mojsisovics (1882). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is North of Henye, Bakony, which is in an Illyrian carbonate limestone in Hungary.
It was recombined as Lardaroceras barrandei by Vörös (2018), Vörös et al. (2022).
