Taxonomy
Ceratites rothi was named by von Mojsisovics (1882). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Felsőörs, which is in an Anisian carbonate limestone in Hungary.

It was recombined as Paraceratites rothi by Vörös (2018).
