Taxonomy
Epikellnerites spinatus was named by Vörös (2018). Its type specimen is HNHM PAL 2017.23.1, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mencshely I, bed 9, which is in an Illyrian marine claystone in the Vászoly Formation of Hungary.
