Taxonomy
Stoppaniceras budaii was named by Vörös (2018). Its type specimen is HNHM M.87.042, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Vászoly P-11a, bed 16A, which is in an Illyrian marine limestone in the Dorgicse Formation of Hungary.
