Taxonomy
Nevadalites palmeri was named by Marek (1976). Its type specimen is USNM 241836 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Yucca Flat, which is in a Steptoean marine shale in the Dunderberg Shale Formation of Nevada.
