Reference | Diagnosis | |
---|---|---|
C.-C. Young 1964 | Rather large Proterosuchia very similar in general features to the family Erythoruchidae of the super-family Proterosuchia represented by the single member Erythrosuchus, but differing from it by the presence of two preorbital vacuities and the absence of parietal foramen. The anterior preorbital vacuity extends partly below the nasal opening which is terminally situated. Teeth sub-thecodont. Lower jaw with distinct terminal thickening. Lateral opening present in lower jaw. No trace of the presence of intercentrum in post epistropheus vertebrae. Limbs comparatively slenderly built. |
