Antillophos posunculensis

Taxonomy

Amphissa posunculensis was named by Anderson and Martin (1914). Its type specimen is CAS 153 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CAS loc. 65, northeast of Barker's Ranch, which is in a Miocene coastal horizon in the Temblor Formation of California.

It was recombined as Antillophos posunculensis by Addicott (1970).

Synonyms

Pleurotoma (Clathurella) dumblei was named by Anderson (1905).

It was replaced with Phos dumbleana by Hanna (1924); it was recombined as Tritiaria (Antillophos) dumblei by Etherington (1931); it was recombined as Antillophos dumbleana by Moore (1963); it was synonymized subjectively with Antillophos posunculensis by Addicott (1970).
