Taxonomy
Similoconcha symmetrica was named by Zhang (1977). It is not extant. Its type specimen is IV55044. Its type locality is Xiashankou, Changsha, which is in a Givetian marine horizon in the Qiziqiao Formation of China. It is the type species of Similoconcha.
