Progadus miocenicus
Taxonomy
Progadus miocenicus was named by David (1956) [type is contained in the collection of the Richfield Oil Corporation Paleontology Laboratory, Long Beach California, ]. Its type specimen is ROC 13, an other (scale), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ritchfield Oil Corporation well Guernsey No 1, which is in an Oligocene deep-water horizon in California.
