Taxonomy

Pleurotoma fresnoensis was named by Arnold (1909). Its type specimen is USNM 165631 and is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Pleurofusia fresnoensis by Squires (1987).

Synonyms

Surcula lindavistaensis was named by Hanna (1927). Its type specimen is UCMP 30954, a partial shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was synonymized subjectively with Pleurofusia fresnoensis by Givens and Kennedy (1979).
