Pternoconius bondi
Taxonomy
Pternoconius bondi was named by Cheme-Arriaga et al. (2016). Its type specimen is MPEF-PV 2576, a partial skull (Fragments of the maxillary region, nasals, the left zygomatic process and upper dentition), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bajada del Diablo, which is in a Colhuehuapian wet floodplain sandstone/tuff in the Sarmiento Formation of Argentina.
