Neoglyptatelus uruguayensis
Taxonomy
Neoglyptatelus uruguayensis was named by Fernicola et al. (2018). Its type specimen is MNHN 1642, a partial skeleton (right portion of the pelvic shield; a nearly complete pectoral shield; tail armor with vertebrae; three thoracic vertebrae fused, complete right hindlimb, and p), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Puerto Arazati Beach, which is in a Miocene paralic mudstone in the Camacho Formation of Uruguay.
