Taxonomy
Pseudaetobatus undulatus was named by Cicimurri and Ebersole (2015). Its type specimen is SC 2013.38.91, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is South Aiken Site, which is in a Priabonian marine horizon in the Dry Branch Formation of South Carolina.
