Comahuetherium coccaorum
Taxonomy
Comahuetherium coccaorum was named by Kramarz and Bond (2011). Its type specimen is MOZ PV 4082, a maxilla (right maxillary frag- ment with P4 – M2, left maxillary fragment with M1 – M3, and left upper canine), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is La Victoria quarry, which is in a Colhuehuapian terrestrial horizon in the Cerro Bandera Formation of Argentina. It is the type species of Comahuetherium.
