Anisodon macedonicus
Taxonomy
Macrotherium macedonicum was named by de Bonis et al. (1995). Its type specimen is LGPUT DKO 234, a partial skull (almost complete cranium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dytiko-3, which is in a Turolian terrestrial marl/sandstone in the Dytiko Formation of Greece.
It was recombined as Anisodon macedonicus by Koufos (2012).
