Caviodon cuyano
Taxonomy
Caviodon cuyano was named by Vucetich et al. (2011). Its type specimen is MHNSR-PV 1101, a skull (Deformed skull and and mandibular and post cranial fragments), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Arroyo Seco de la Frazada (Middle Section) = La Huertita Fm nom. nov., which is in a Montehermosan fluvial sandstone in the La Huertita Formation of Argentina.
