Konobelodon atticus
Taxonomy
Mastodon atticus was named by Wagner (1857). Its type specimen is SNSB-BSPG-AS II 182, a maxilla (left maxillary fragment with DP2–DP3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pikermi (old collection), which is in a Miocene fluvial horizon in Greece.
It was recombined as Konobelodon atticus by Konidaris et al. (2014), Konidaris and Koufos (2019).
