Pardinamys humahuaquensis
Taxonomy
Pardinamys humahuaquensis was named by Ortiz et al. (2012). Its type specimen is PVL 6316 (left premaxilla and maxilla with incisor, M1–2, and zygomatic plate) and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is San Roque, which is in a Pliocene fluvial siltstone/claystone in the Uquía Formation of Argentina. It is the type species of Pardinamys.
