Galeorhinini was named by Gill (1862) [originally named as the genus Galeorhinus]. It is extant.
It was assigned to Triakidae by Yabe and Hirayama (1998); and to Galeorhininae by Noubhani and Cappetta (1997), Popov et al. (2025).
