It was corrected as Galeopidae by Battail and Surkov (2000), Ivakhnenko (2003) and Ivakhnenko (2008).

It was assigned to Dromasauria by Kuhn (1946); to Edaphosauria by Haughton and Brink (1954); to Dromasauria by Carroll (1988); to Anomodontia by Battail and Surkov (2000); and to Dromasaurida by Ivakhnenko (2003) and Ivakhnenko (2008).
