Rabidosaurus was named by Kalandadze (1970). It is not extant. Its type is Rabidosaurus cristatus.
It was assigned to Kannemeyeriidae by Carroll (1988); to Kannemeyeriini by Battail and Surkov (2000); and to Kannemeyeriinae by Ivakhnenko (2008).
