Taxonomy
Squilla erini was named by Haug et al. (2015). Its type specimen is LACMIP 14523, a carapace, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Thiel Creek, south, which is in an Aquitanian marine mudstone in the Nye Formation of Oregon.
