Taxonomy
Macrocoelia insolita was named by Nikitina (1985). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Near Talapta winter quarters, on Rgyata-Agalatas rivers interfluve, Kendyktas Mt, which is in a Llandeilo carbonate sandstone/siltstone in the Rgaity Formation of Kazakhstan.
