Brachydectes newberryi
Taxonomy
Brachydectes newberryi was named by Cope (1868). It is not extant. Its type specimen is AMNH 6941 (designated by Hook (1983), a partial skull. Its type locality is Linton, which is in a Westphalian D mire/swamp coal in Ohio. It is the type species of Brachydectes, Brachydectes.
