Ambiortus
Taxonomy
Ambiortus was named by Kurochkin (1982). It is not extant. Its type is Ambiortus dementjevi. It is the type genus of Ambiortidae.
It was assigned to Ambiortidae by Carroll (1988) and Kurochkin (2000); to Ornithurae by Sereno and Rao (1992), Chiappe (2002), Hope (2002) and Padian (2004); and to Ornithuromorpha by O'Connor and Zelenkov (2013), O'Connor et al. (2014) and Wang et al. (2014).
