Taxonomy
Modocia berkeyi was named by Resser (1935). Its type specimen is Columbia Univ. 22283 and is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Camaraspoides berkeyi by Fredrickson (1949); it was recombined as Camaraspis berkeyi by Grant (1965), Jell and Adrain (2002).
