Octodontobradys puruensis
Taxonomy
Octodontobradys puruensis was named by Santos et al. (1993). Its type specimen is UFAC-1803, a mandible (mandíbula quase completa), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Talismã, upper Purus River, which is in a Tortonian fluvial-lacustrine mudstone/claystone in the Solimões Formation of Brazil. It is the type species of Octodontobradys.
