Procynops miocenicus
Taxonomy
Procynops miocenicus was named by Young (1965) [Differs from Holocene species of Cynops in having nares opening more dorsally (if specimens are not distorted) and in lacking sagittal tubercles on the body; known specimens smaller than Holocene species.]. Its type specimen is PMAM 9, a skeleton (Nearly complete skeleton), and it is a 3D body fossil.
