Kritimys catreus
Taxonomy
Mus catreus was named by Bate (1912). Its type specimen is BMNH, a mandible (right mandible with M1-M2), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sphinari Cave, which is in a Pleistocene/Pleistocene cave horizon in Greece.
It was recombined as Kritimys catreus by Kuss and Misonne (1968), Mayhew (1977).
