Taxonomy
Lowenstamia funiculus was named by Sohl (1964) [m. kosnik taxon no: 2135]. Its type specimen is USNM 130216, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Sohliina funiculus by Özdikmen (2013).
