Tepexichthys aranguthyorum
Taxonomy
Tepexichthys aranguthyorum was named by Applegate (1992). Its type specimen is IGM-3286, a skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Site IGM-370, Tlayúa Quarry (Aranguthy quarry), which is in an Albian/Albian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Tlayúa Formation of Mexico.
