Taxonomy
Ictiobus aguilerai was named by Alvarado-Ortega et al. (2006). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is La Cementura, which is in a Pliocene lacustrine sandstone/claystone in the Jebel Qatrani Formation of Mexico.
