Taxonomy
Stenometra otekaikeensis was named by Eagle (2007). Its type specimen is AU19053 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is AU19053, Ardlogie Station lime-pit (J40/f053A), which is in a Waitakian carbonate limestone in the Otekaike Limestone Formation of New Zealand.
