Megatheridium annectens
Taxonomy
Megatheridium annectens was named by Cabrera (1928). Its type specimen is n. 2-69 of MLP, a partial skull (posterior part of skull), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Section VI, fraction C, lot 16 - 6 leagues N of the streams / barrancas, which is in a Huayquerian terrestrial horizon in the Río Negro Formation of Argentina.
