Elongatoolithus jianchangensis
Taxonomy
Elongatoolithus jianchangensis was named by Fang et al. (2007). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is 05HD-5 (05HD-2-2), an egg, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Hongshan Reservoir-Danyan Survey section (bed 53), which is in a Coniacian/Santonian terrestrial sandstone/siltstone in the Zhaoying Formation of China.
