Protodictyoolithus neixiangensis
Taxonomy
Dictyoolithus neixiangensis was named by Zhao (1994). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is IVPP RV 94002 (field No.79007(, an egg, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Shibangou, Chimei (IVPP), which is in a Turonian/Santonian terrestrial horizon in the Gaogou Formation of China.
It was recombined as Protodictyoolithus neixiangensis by Wang et al. (2012), Wang et al. (2013) and Zhang et al. (2017).
