Taxonomy
Lurifax goederti was named by Kiel (2006). Its type specimen is LACMIP 13258, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is LACMIP 5802 Bear Creek, which is in a Priabonian marine limestone in Washington.
