Taxonomy
Dechenella daumeriesi was named by Van Viersen and Prescher (2008). Its type specimen is IRSNB a12603, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Resteigne quarry, Hanonet Fm, unit 1, which is in an Eifelian shallow subtidal limestone/shale in the Hanonet Formation of Belgium.
