Taxonomy
Paraseraphs cantamessae was named by Maxwell et al. (2018). Its type specimen is USNM 135097A, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Port Antonio, Eocene, which is in a Priabonian marine limestone in the White Limestone Formation of Jamaica.
