Taxonomy
Munida witteae was named by Nyborg and Garassino (2015). Its type specimen is UWBM 97168 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Jansen Creek, northwest, which is in a Rupelian deep-water sandstone/conglomerate in the Makah Formation of Washington.
